Looking to jump into the world of reselling sneakers but not sure where to start in terms of what to invest in? This guide will walk you through the steps of joining a cook group, picking a bot, and picking a resale niche. In all, plan to spend about $500 out of your budget on bot infrastructure and about $500 for inventory, which is a good place to start as a beginner. If you play it smart $1000 is more than enough to start your sneaker resell empire. Let’s hop into the guide. Guide Outline: Cook Groups: Cop Supply Bot Broker Tidal Market Place Sneaker Twitter (Honorable Mention) Sneaker Bots: AIO Bot Nike Shoe Bot Dashe Bot Inventory: Buy Everything Supreme Nike/Jordan Brand Yeezy Supply Kith Palace Find a cook group: Cost: $20-50/month Having a reliable cook group is probably the most important thing you can do when it comes to reselling sneakers. In all honesty at one time I had membership in 5 different cookgroups, as I was figuring out which one had the best value for me. But at the end of the day realize that most cook groups are offering pretty much the exact same experience. I would highly advise you to hop on twitter and follow various cookgroups you find on twitter to research options. Some cookgroups are really hard to get into and the only way to join is through a release. Most groups are going to provide this on twitter, on top of that they will also provide success info on how well their members did on releases in order to hype up their brand and attract new potential members. Cop Supply: Website: https://cop.supply/sneaker-groups Price: Varies Directory of cook groups, bots, ATC services, proxies, etc. Not everything will be instock, but its a good starting point to research a good group to join. Bot Broker: Website: https://botbroker.io/groups Price: Varies Online resale platform of bots and cook groups. Platform of users buying and selling access to cook groups and bots. I’ve never bought group access but I have bought bots off the site. Transactions are quick and pretty secure, no issues with buyers not delivering. Tidal Marketplace: Website: https://tidal.market/ Price: Varies Peer to peer resell discord group for renting bots, buying bots, buying cook group memberships, etc. Acts as somewhat of a middle man, buyers and sellers are verified via discord, but there's a chance for seller fraud in their discord. Be weary of “deals” they could be cracked bots which can be a huge risk when it comes to credit card security. IMO avoid it if possible. Honorable Mention: Sneaker Twitter Website: https://twitter.com/snkr_twitr?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor Price: Free This option is free, but you need to be quick with the twitter fingers, if you’re going to cop anything. They do attempt to provide early links when possible, as well as provide restock alerts, but again, when competing with bots and cook groups you’re going to be getting really late info. Find a SneakerBot: Cost: ~$50-$300 (one time) / $500 (per year) Some would argue that this is not essential, and to some degree this is true. If you are really on a budget, and you’ve already joined a cook group, some group members will run slots for other members for free or for $5-$10/slot. It’s a pretty viable route, but you will be limited and not have as much control compared to purchasing your own bot. Not to mention this will eat into your profits if you sign up for slots on releases that do poorly. My advice would be to find a bot that fits your budget and work with it. Also utilize chrome auto-fill extensions to purchase items manually as well as through the bot that you are running. This will increase your opportunity of purchasing whatever item you are looking for. This is a pretty big part of the total capital you spend so make sure you do the research on picking a bot. This is a starter guide at best, there are lots of different bots releasing from iOS bots, and even sneaker bot rental services that will allow you to test bots before you buy. Also note you will need to buy proxies with your bot to prevent your IP from getting banned depending on how many tasks you plan on running. AIO Bot: Website: https://www.aiobot.com/product/aio-bot/ Price: $325 (one time payment) Always in stock; supports many different shops. Their cook group is not that great info for setups is delayed/not timely. Not 100% sure on their success rate, but at $325 one time fee, this is a pretty competitive price. Most bots require you to pay licensing fees after the initial payment either month ot bi-annually. For context they had about 1.3K check outs for the Air Jordan 1 Lucky Green compared to The Shit Bot, one of very few nike.com bots, that had 5K+ checkouts. Nike Shoe Bot: Website: https://www.nikeshoebot.com/product/nike-shoe-sneaker-bot/ Price: $499/year High recommended budget bot. Probably my most used bot at the moment. Pretty consistent and does really well on new releases. A lot of celebrity botters use this bot. One of the biggest highlights of this bot is it’s discord restock task monitor, that automatically creates a task when it picks up a product that you are monitoring for, and doesn’t waste proxy data. Overall a very great buy if you are starting out. Dashe Bot: Website: https://dashe.io/ Price: $50/month Really affordable bot, affordable even at resell prices. This bot does well on supreme and some shopify sites, but do not expect a print machine. Bot support is marginal at best, since the Dashe dev team is really small. It’s a great bot to pick up if you are just starting out, but definitely plan to upgrade as you learn the ropes and start to have a larger budget. Pick a Resale Niche: Cost: ~$500 This budget category is really going to vary depending on how much capital you have after buying your bot and cook group membership. My advice would be to learn one category at a time as opposed to run on everything. But if you are the type to prefer to jump in head first, then be my guest. But pretty much everything else after you buy your bot, proxies, membership should go towards buying inventory. Also be advised there are things releasing everyday, restocks happen everyday. Pay attention to the resell expectations in your cook group as they will help you figure out what to run on. I Personally run on Kith at times, Yeezy, and Jordan. I try to buy things in bae sizes as well for hyped items because that means men and women will be trying to cop for themselves or their partners. Supreme is a great place to start because they sell items in seasons, plan to take L’s on at least a season or two before you actually pick up the hang of running tasks with your bot. Everything: Release Time: Varies Profit Margin: Varies Summary: Go for what’s hype regardless of brand or category of items, lots of potential for profit, but will be harder to stick to a budget as releases happen almost daily. You pretty much need to be ready to cop at any time regardless of where you are at and won’t really have time to set up for every release since cook groups don’t tend to provide detailed info on every release. Supreme Release Time: Tuesdays (in-store sign ups) and Thursdays (online store release) Profit Margin: 10-50% (not everything is resell-able) Summary: Probably one of the more popular resell niches. Supreme has been resold for maybe close to a decade now due to their very odd and obscure collaborations with various brands across various product categories. On one had these obscure products drive up resell prices really high, but at the same time, given they release products every week a lot of their items brick, this includes a lot of the coveted “box logo” items at times. Nike/Jordan Brand Release Time: Varies, but ample time to be prepared for a release Profit Margin: 10-100% (depending on the release) Summary: OG models and colorways do well for flipping with Nike and Jordan, it’s either you need to hold long, or flip quick. Jordan x Fragment, Jordan x Union LA, Jordan x Off-White, pretty much any Jordan collab does pretty well. Jordan Low OG colorways also do well as quick flips. Nike SB Dunks have also been increasing in value as of late as well. If you can buy bulk you can potentially work with local sneaker stores to provide them with inventory. Yeezy Supply Release Time: Varies, but expect early morning release times Profit Margins: 10-20% over retail Summary: IMO Value has gone down on these due to profit margin. Ye has been on this war path to provide Yeezy’s to everyone which means that places like Dicks Sporting Goods at times will have stock of new Yeezy’s. Also newer models like the Yeezy 380’s have not been doing as well as the original 350s (pirate blacks, turtle dove’s) Kith Release Time: Every Monday, plus exclusive shoe releases Profit Margins: Varies (Hyped releases are more profitable) Summary: A lot of items brick when it comes to Kith’s Monday Morning Program. More often than not items are better for personals than for reselling. Kith collabs however do pretty well, for example, Kith x Space Jam, Kith x Asics, Kith New Balance. Another cool thing about focusing on Kith is that they also tend to release exclusive sneakers as well, from Yeezy to Jordan. Palace Release Time: Fridays (UK Time Friendly) Profit Margins: Summary: UK skate brand rising to the same level as Supreme with their tri-logo tees, and more recent collaborations. You’ll need to be up on UK/European trends to really do well with Palace. I haven’t spent too much time reselling Palace, but there are folks that cook Palace as part of their resell strategy. Higher level cook groups will provide details on stock/resale value with each palace release. Summary In closing if this is your first time, you need to give this process time. This is not an overnight race, it's a marathon. Take the time to study and learn from those in your cook group that have shown success. The initial high price may feel overwhelming, but if you trust the process, are willing to learn form mistakes, and are patient, reselling sneakers is a fun business, that can lead to some great friendships and opportunities.
